Yutong has introduced a left-hand drive diesel version of its T12 coach, expanding the reach of its T series in international markets. The new model builds on the right-hand drive T12, which has operated in the UK for six years.
The T12 is designed for long-distance and tourist transport. The right-hand drive variant has already undergone sustained high-intensity service in the UK, with nearly 400 units sold.

The T12 features a streamlined exterior, including a curved front profile and a low-drag body shape aimed at reducing fuel consumption during motorway travel. The aerodynamic design is intended to support lower operating costs over long distances.
Inside, the cabin uses a light colour scheme with metallic detailing and ambient lighting that can be adjusted to suit different travel settings. Materials are described as environmentally considerate, with attention given to finishing and build quality.
Passenger space includes seat spacing of at least 720mm, intended to reduce fatigue on extended journeys. The coach is equipped with dual-zone independent air conditioning, offering a cooling capacity of 36,000 kcal/h. Separate temperature and humidity controls are provided for the driver and passenger areas.
For onboard entertainment, the vehicle includes two 22-inch high-definition screens positioned at the front and centre of the cabin, supported by 18 speakers.

The driving area has been redesigned to offer increased space and revised storage arrangements. A digital cockpit integrates a 10.25-inch instrument display with a 12.8-inch central control screen. The system consolidates multiple functions, reducing the number of physical switches.
The driver’s seat features full air suspension, with adjustable support designed to respond to road conditions and assist with long-distance comfort.

The left-hand drive T12 is powered by a DAF engine paired with a ZF transmission. The manufacturer states that the combined system supports smooth performance and fuel efficiency. Reported fuel consumption is 22.4 litres per 100 kilometres under SORT3 testing conditions.
The standard configuration provides 51 seats and a luggage compartment of 10 cubic metres, with capacity for around 100 20-inch suitcases.
The T12 body is constructed with a high-strength steel frame and incorporates five anti-corrosion treatments, including galvanisation and electrophoresis. The powertrain is designed for an operational lifespan of up to two million kilometres, with more than 70 percent of key components rated beyond 1.5 million kilometres.
Engine maintenance intervals are set at up to 200,000 kilometres or one year, depending on usage. The structural layout is intended to facilitate servicing and reduce downtime for operators.
